Elijah: When Darkness Overwhelms
Scripture: 1 Kings 19:1-8
After the victory on Mount Carmel, Elijah collapses under fear and discouragement, reminding us that even faithful people can reach the end of themselves. Alone in the wilderness, he pours out his despair to God and asks for his life to end. God responds with compassionate care, providing rest, food, and water for His exhausted servant. Through repeated kindness, God supplies the strength Elijah needs for a journey he cannot make on his own. This passage invites us to bring our struggles honestly to God, receive His care, and trust that our darkest moments do not mean He has abandoned us.
