Scripture: Exodus 9:13-16, Exodus 5:1-2, Exodus 6:1-8, Exodus 7:4-5, Exodus 8:3-4, Exodus 8:10, Exodus 14:4, Joshua 2:8-11, Exodus 12:12-13

In Exodus, God rescues His people from slavery in Egypt through a dramatic display of His power over Pharaoh and the gods of Egypt. Through the ten plagues, God reveals that He alone is the LORD, worthy of worship, and that His name is to be proclaimed throughout the earth. The Passover demonstrates both God’s judgment against sin and His provision for salvation, pointing forward to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Just as God redeemed Israel so that His glory would be known among the nations, He rescues us through Christ and sends us to make Him known. We are saved not merely for our own benefit but to join God’s mission of bringing people from every nation to know, love, and worship Him.
