In Daniel 8, God gives the prophet a stunning vision of world history—hundreds of years before it happens—reminding us that He is not only aware of the future, but sovereign over it. The rise and fall of empires, from Persia to Greece, and even the violent persecution under Antiochus Epiphanes, are foretold in detail, ultimately pointing to a greater reality: God uses kings and kingdoms to accomplish His redemptive plan.
