Ascent: Ascent to Joy & Peace
In this powerful message from Psalm 122, we’re reminded that the deepest longings of the human heart—joy, peace, and security—are not selfish desires, but gifts designed and fulfilled by God Himself. As the Israelites journeyed up to Jerusalem, their joy came not just from reaching a place, but from being with the family of God and drawing near to His presence. Today, we’re invited into that same experience—through our personal walk with Christ and our connection to His church. Joy isn’t tied to perfect circumstances, but to abiding in the presence of Jesus. As we walk through the spiritual “tabernacle” of life, we see that Christ fulfills every part—He is the gate, the sacrifice, the bread of life, and our access to God’s presence. No matter our hardships, we can have peace because we are sons and daughters of the King.
