In Acts 2, we witness the power and purpose of Jesus put on full display through Peter’s bold proclamation. The world may see Jesus as a mere teacher or prophet, but Peter declares Him as both Lord and Christ—the very one we crucified and the only one who can save. Through signs, fulfilled prophecy, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, God begins a new covenant, not written on tablets, but on hearts made new. This chapter reminds us that Jesus lived, died, rose, and ascended—all for us—and now calls us to repent, believe, and receive the gift of His Spirit. May we respond as they did, with hearts cut to the core and lives surrendered to the gospel.
