Mark Carlson Associate Pastor
Greetings! I want you to know it is my great delight to serve you and New Life Church of Asheville in the areas that are both familiar to me and a large part of my life's passion. My "pedigree" comes in the form of a BS in Business Administration and a Masters of Education from the University of Florida (Gator Nation), but what means most to me is for over two decades serving in the local church in areas of teaching, discipleship and leadership. As my "official" title implies, I have my hand in the day to day administrative church operations, but my greatest joy is interacting with you and helping you move forward in your personal spiritual journey. I do this by assisting you with relational connections through our LIFE Groups, providing relevant and hopefully excellent adult enrichment opportunities, training leadership for our small group ministries, and having a hand in our Men's Ministry. Recognizing God created us to be rich in our relationship with Him and each other, I am personally committed to participation in a LIFE Group and a Men's Connection Group, as well as 1 on 1 personal discipleship. On a personal note, God has given me a wonderful wife (Brenda) for these past 34 years and two grown children.

Kathi Wince Director of Children’s Ministry
I hold a BA in Psychology from Asbury College and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. After 1 yr of community counseling in Kentucky, I spent 6 yrs as Residence Director and Career Counselor at Montreat College in Montreat, NC. After teaching preschool for 1 yr, I spent 4 years as a stay at home mom. My husband, Ernest and I are the proud parents of Emma, Sam and Audrey. My passion is to help people learn and grow, at any age! I count it a privilege to get to love on our kids and help them grow up in the knowledge and love of our sweet Jesus. In my "free" time (what is that?) I like to scrapbook, read and swing in my hammock.
Mandi Hart
Mandi’s return to New Life as a staff member with both the children’s and middle school ministries has God’s fingerprints all over it! She graduated in May from American University with plans to stay in Washington DC for the summer, then continue on to graduate school in August. But the Lord in His divine wisdom overthrew all her plans to bring her back home for a time of renewal and refining. She has been incredibly blessed by the opportunity to serve as the Creative Assistant for Children’s Ministry and pour her time and energy into training up the children of New Life in the Way that they should go. As the new Director of Middle School Ministry, Mandi is both excited and sobered by the challenge of leading the church’s students through their transition from childhood to adulthood with a firm and flourishing faith. She submits herself to the Lord Almighty for His kingdom’s purposes to be accomplished and to the members of New Life as a servant of the Risen Christ.
